Back on board, we will cruise south along the Adriatic coast to the charming town of Omiš. With its dramatic setting at the mouth of the Cetina River, Omiš was once a pirate stronghold, and its history still lingers in the stone fortresses and winding streets.

From here, our journey continues across the Brac Channel to Pucišca, the largest settlement on the island of Brac. This stunning harbour town is famed for its gleaming white limestone, used in famous landmarks around the world, including the White House in Washington D.C. and the Parliament in Vienna. We will spend the evening here, soaking up the atmosphere of one of Dalmatia’s most beautiful coastal villages.

After lunch on board, we continue towards Hvar, Croatia’s sunniest island and a favourite destination of travellers from around the world. On arrival, our local guide will introduce us to the town’s fascinating history, from its Venetian architecture to its lively harbour. LUGGAGE
What to Pack and Wear:
The weather in Croatia in June is typically warm, sunny, and ideal for exploring—though occasional showers can still occur. We recommend packing:
• Lightweight, breathable clothing for warm days
• A light jacket or cardigan for cooler evenings or breezy coastal areas
• Comfortable walking shoes or sandals suitable for cobbled streets
• Swimwear and a beach towel for coastal stops or hotel pools
• A sun hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen for sun protection
• A compact umbrella or light rain jacket, just in case
• Smart-casual attire for evening meals or special occasions
• Don’t forget your camera, charger, spare batteries, and memory cards

Luggage Allowances:
International airlines are often strict about the size and weight of checked in baggage and carry-on luggage. Prior to your departure, please contact your airline or visit their website for specific luggage requirements, as size and weight limitations may vary according to the airline and destination.

LANGUAGE
The main language of Croatia is Croatian. English is spoken widely in tourist destinations across the country, especially by younger generations.

WEATHER
The weather in Croatia in summer is generally very hot, with temperatures often soaring above 30C. In summer months, most days will be sunny with little shade and temperatures dropping only slightly in the evenings. Temperatures are more pleasant in Spring/Autumn. Spring brings the mistral winds across the Adriatic and in Autumn, the sea is a great temperature for swimming.

ELECTRICITY
In Croatia, the standard voltage is 230V and the frequency is 50Hz. You will need a European plug adapter, and/or converter depending on which electrical appliances you bring with you.

MOBILES & INTERNET COMMUNICATION
Moblie coverage is widely avaliable across Europe, be sure to check with your mobile provider for coverage and rates, as data roaming can be extremely expensive.

MONEY
Currency:

The official currency of Croatia is the Euro (€). Croatia adopted the Euro on January 1, 2023, replacing the Croatian Kuna (HRK). Credit cards are widely accepted in cities, especially at hotels, restaurants, and shops, but it’s a good idea to carry cash for smaller purchases or in rural areas. Many smaller businesses may not accept cards, particularly foreign ones. ATMs are common in cities, but less so in smaller towns.

Visa and Mastercard are the most commonly accepted credit cards, while Diners Club and American Express may not be accepted everywhere. Contact your bank before traveling to avoid any issues with your cards.

Important: Croatia uses chip-and-pin cards, so cards with magnetic strips may not work at certain machines. Carry some cash just in case and be prepared to show ID if needed.

Gratuities:
After feedback from previous guests, we offer a group tipping package for this tour, more information on this will be shared in the 'Pre-Tour Emails'.

WATER
The tap water in Croatia is generally of good quality. Unless otherwise advised, you can drink the local tap water. It is not advisable to drink the tap water on board boats. Bottled water can be bought at supermarkets, kiosks and many shops.

SAFETY & SECURITY
As visitors, tourists may be more vulnerable to petty crimes like pickpocketing and scams, so we recommend staying aware and taking simple precautions.

RELIGION
Croatia is mostly Christian, however there is a small percentage of Muslim Serbs living to the south and east of the country.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Croatia offers photo opportunities one after another. You will return with many photos that can never be repeated. Remember to pack your camera, along with the charger, spare batteries and a spare memory card!

ARRIVAL IN CROATIA
Please note, standard hotel check-in is around 3pm, so should you arrive earlier than this, your room may not be available upon arrival. For those arriving early morning, we will do everything we can to work with the hotel to get you an earlier check-in subject to availability.
