DAY 1 - Arrival in Athens

Check out is at 10am this morning. You are free to enjoy the facilities of the resort in Crete until we depart together for our flights to the capital city of Greece- Athens.

On arrival in Athens, we will be transferred from the airport to our accommodation for the next 3 nights. Watch as the landscape transitions from the rural, olive-studded plains of the Mesogeia region into the suburban sprawl of the city of Athens. The rest of the evening will be spent at leisure. 

DAY 2 - City tour, the Acropolis & Explore the food market

THis morning we will enjoy a panoramic tour of Athens before heading out to visit the iconic Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. After some time spent exploring the thousands of years of history here, we will meet with a local food expert this afternoon, to enjoy a walking tour of the central market of Athens. We indulge in small bites and local delicacies as we make our way across the market.

You will enjoy some free time in Athens for shopping and exploring your own interests.

DAY 3 - Pyrgos Vasilissis, Gardens & Winery

Pyrgos Vasilissis (Queen's Tower) is a historic, fairy-tale 19th-century royal estate and castle located in Ilion, just 10 km north of central Athens. Commissioned by Queen Amalia, the first queen of modern Greece, this Gothic Revival estate now operates as a working organic vineyard and agrotourism destination. We will spend some time exploring the towers and gardens here before enjoying local wine tasting, accompanied with cheeses and homemade Greek pies.

We will have lunch in a local restaurant before returning again to Athens city centre for some free time, some time for packing and for preparing for a final evening meal together tonight.

DAY 4 - The end of a Greek Odyssey

Today we will bid a fond farwell at the end of our own Greek Odyssey. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Athens Airport for your onward flights home.

  • Check in is after 2pm and check out is before 11am unless otherwise specified in the itinerary.
